Acid stained floors information.

As the name suggests, acid staining uses acids to color the surface of your floor. The advantage to staining is that it doesn’t chip or score. The concrete may score, but the color will remain, if the gouge isn’t too deep. What’s better about acid staining is that it stains deeper.

This, when used together along side something like stamping, will create almost any surface you could want. Either vibrant or discrete, depending on what you’re looking for. As the popularity of decorating concrete grows, so does the number of colors for stains available. Acid stains come in wonderful selections to fit your taste and decor.

If you want to, you can even do this yourself. There are a number of sources you can learn this from, like do-it-yourself videotapes available online. With the want, the will, and a little budget, you can do just about anything you want to your plain old concrete slab.
